Short Biography

Malcolm Clemens Young is a theologian trained at Harvard Divinity School and a priest serving at Christ Episcopal Church in Silicon Valley.  He has lived half his life in California and half in Massachusetts.

Extraordinary teachers have been a great blessing to him.  As an undergraduate he studied economics with the Nobel Laureate George Akerlof at the University of California, Berkeley.  His master’s thesis at Harvard Divinity School was under the direction of Gordon Kaufman and his doctoral dissertation was supervised by Richard R. Niebuhr, Lawrence Buell and David Lamberth.  What Malcolm learned from his teachers continues to deeply influence his thought and faith.

He is married to Heidi Ho a graduate of Kamehameha Schools in Hawaii.  They have two children: Micah and Melia.
